It's always flowing. Where we've come from, what we've seen, where we're going. We can't have the path forward without the experiences of where we've been. Where we get stuck is when we stay fixed on the current of the past.

Change is in the Air
I love this time of year, and not just because I'm an Aries. I love it because it breathes the air of beginnings. April brings Spring here in this part of the world, and the deep exhale of rebirth that comes with it is so very welcome after a long Winter.
Going Deep
We live in a society where we're taught to believe we should keep things light, airy, upbeat and quite frankly easily digestible at all times. Conversations, relationships, feelings, and attitudes are expected to be light and fluffy. We avoid the meaty morsels and side step them in favor of something easier to take, something that we can ingest quickly and skip to the next chapter.
The Return of Persephone
Oh, Lady of Spring, Queen of the Underworld You who balance creation and death. Lover of the dark lord, and mother of the light You walk among us Lady, showing us the spiral of the wheel. You show us the need for time within to search our own Shadowlands and that when that dark night is through the time to walk in the light always comes.
Daughter of Stone
She is the daughter of pillars From a lineage of women carved from stone Their blood forged of fire and liquid steel Their strength the foundation Upon which she trains her shaky legs To hold up the weight of the world.
Let Us
I see you From the caverns of your aching heart To the marrow of your endless longing The layers hidden inside From those who could never see. Let us not live in their world A whitewashed wasteland Void of the hues of love Begging for a sea of color Which can only be painted from our brushes.
Love By The Full Moon
"Do you know how often your kind ask me about this?" The Full Moon asked. I stared up at the night sky. What could I say in defense of humans? I felt like I was on trial for every person that had ever glanced skywards and inquired anything at all to the bright orb. "You've seen it all," I managed finally. "You've been watching us as long as we've been here.
Bury Yourself Within Your Own Soul
"Bury yourself," I heard a whisper say. "Bury yourself in the dirt." This is not a time to compromise and jump on anything that will sustain you for the short-term because of being stretched thin and feeling the tides of uncertainty, it said. This is not a time of staying in the compressed places that make you stay small.
Because I Am A Woman
Shouldn't we teach our daughters to speak their minds? To stand up and not sit down? To live their truth and dance wildly on the discarded beliefs that don't serve them? Shouldn't we tell them that their worth is a birth-rite and not defined by marriage, sex, children, status or hair? Isn't it time we took back our bodies, our spirits, our hearts and our minds?
To ask or not to ask? That is the question.
I'm terrible at asking questions even when I'm dying to know the answer. Sometimes we want to know the answer so badly and in the end we trip over the syllables for so long wanting them to be perfect. The words get lost on our lips as we try to swallow them down but in the end our heart's will never be satisfied until they have the answers they seek.
