This is not a love affair, brief and fading like the vivid blooms of Summer; withering on the vine after the intense heat has passed behind the clouds. No, this is something sacred, timeless and deeply grounded. Like the spiraling roots of an ancient tree holding fast to the Earth below; ever-branching and ever-hopeful, reaching towards promises blazing on the horizon beyond.
We live in a world on the knife's edge of great change. We question our place in a system that isn't fair. We struggle to make sense of a society that seems hell-bent on oppression, violence, creating rules and regulations to keep those who need lifting up the most down.
Dear heart, Not everyone on this wide open planet is meant to understand you. Some people will never comprehend you, your magic or your feelings, no matter how vulnerable you are or how much you tear your heart open to show them. But, that doesn't make you unworthy.
To love this soul is not always an easy task. It is fierce, passionate and full of fire. It cries out speaking plainly, sometimes to the point of being too blunt and hurtful without meaning to. It struggles with feelings sometimes muddling emotions in their intensity. It's not asking for the easy road, only a little compassion while it tries to make sense of things.
We will not always be here, you and I. These bodies are not forever and yet we swallow so much thinking we have all the time in the world to do as we wish. We clutch our feelings close to us, trying to obscure them against the very skin that yearns for the touch of them. We silence our thoughts, never giving brilliant ideas the light of day.
I want you to know that I am real, even though I know you doubt it a million times a day. I want you to know that I do exist. Maybe our souls have even met before in our travels on this planet, like I know they've done in many lives before. I want to say that I've been busy and that's why I haven't found you yet. I know, that sounds so cliché.

For my entire life, I have been trying to figure out the meaning of love. What was it? How did you know what it felt like? How do you know when it's real? Was it the yearning that called you from somewhere in the great beyond? Was it as impossible as people said for this bright wished for happiness to exist?
Reclaiming hope when it seems lost can be a difficult part of our journey. When things are uncertain, it can be hard to trust things are going to work out. All things change; our health, our relationships, our environments.
Eclipses turn everything upside down for a reason. They help us to see things in a different light and in a new way. They can offer new solutions to problems that seem like they have been ongoing forever. They can also clear away some of the "stuck" places and get things moving where they are frozen.
