"A Queen will not play games; she knows those that play are not worth her time." ~C. Ara Campbell

I hate games. I'm no good at them.

Not monopoly, Uno or Go Fish; but the one that people play to one another.

I have a hard time playing cat and mouse games. Somewhere along the way on this path I call life I lost the rule-book to hide and seek. I don't understand mind games. My soul doesn't understand them. They don't jive with my purpose or my passion.

They don't feed my spirit the essential nourishment it requires.

I wear my heart on my sleeve and I can't imagine doing intentional harm to someone in such a way. I never want anyone to feel hurt.

There are some on this earth that play games and feel more comfortable hiding behind them than engaging fully with the world around them. They prefer to dance within the confines of a masquerade ball instead of stepping from the shadows and experience the piercing beauty of truth.

Moving from beyond the veil brings us to a place of authentic vulnerability where we are seen. Some people would rather not show up in such a conscious way and enjoy instead the binding and defining strings of cat and mouse.

It's hard to be open in the face of these reindeer games.

It's impossible to crack open the doors of your heart.

How could an empath not shut down?

This is a place that we say no more. We throw down the gauntlet and refuse to take part in games to which we aren't even playing and don't understand in the slightest the rules.

I will not participate in a game that is spirit draining and lessens anyone; if someone puts this upon you, they are the loser.

There is no shame at not playing the game.

We set the rules by how we counter. We can play by the terms of others or we can set the court. Stack the deck in your favor and come from a place of self love. Walk away from this draining and painful charade.

We choose who we have on our team so pick those who are not playing against you.

We choose our own position on the playing field, so know where you stand.

So in the end, when it comes to the games that are played, you need to ask yourself will you be the pawn or will you be the Queen?

"My child," The Goddess said. "Your purpose is not to be a toy. You aren't meant to be a puppet to be played with nor are you something that should be taken down off the shelf when someone needs something fun to amuse them. I never want you to forget your worth and value when it comes to those that you interact with. Never forget that you are nothing less than divine. You deserve something just as sacred." ~Ara
