Twin Souls: Not Always Happily Ever After

The Twin Soul journey is unlike any other.

When you connect with someone on a soul deep level, you will be changed forever. This person will be a mirror for you, your greatest challenge and a place of great expansion. While it can be the most powerful, blissful and joyous connection that we experience, it can also be very difficult and shake our foundations to the very core. The Twin relationship brings us to powerful realizations about our truth, our hearts, our wounds and our beliefs.

We need to have compassion for what we and our Other goes through on the path

There is a lot to work through on our journeys, so try to be compassionate and allowing when the Other is working through their experiences of being human, just as you need compassion for what you are expanding through on your journey.

This doesn't mean you put up with their shit though. You call them on it and express your truth, tapping into your own self worth and growing as you do so. This activates in them where they need to expand and heal, if they choose to. We can't control if another wishes to expand. But, you are not a doormat and the connection of the Twin is not an excuse to put up with being treated in a way less than you deserve.

Sometimes Twins leave one another behind, sometimes for awhile, sometimes for good. One may pass into the realm of spirit, or maybe things never align here in the physical in order to create a life together. Sometimes this space is needed in order to dive deeper into expansion which can evolve us further on our path and sometimes it's something that must be travelled alone.

So I shouldn’t want to meet them?

Of course you should and you most likely will, it would be impossible to not want to. Imagine knowing there was something that you have dreamed about your whole life and now you know exists.

But allow it to unfold organically while you are doing your work; love yourself unconditionally, follow your deepest bliss, honor your truth and boundaries and allow them to do their work as well. Obsession leads down a dark path and shows that there is more work to do internally on self worth, boundaries, abandonment and trust. Watch for desperation when it arises. It is a mirror into areas that are still needing to be seen and wounds that need to be healed.

You will know when if time is right to come together in the physical realm. This is part of the big reason we need to clear the clutter, the emotional baggage and all the issues need to be sorted so we can become in touch with our truth and our intuition. Then we are able to clearly hear the messages on when the timing is right. Then if both Twins are in alignment and choose it, they can connect.

Is all hope lost if we can't be with our Twin?

No. The bottom line is this: if you're not with your Twin in this lifetime, they or you have some major work to do yet. If you've done your work, why would you want to settle for someone who isn't in the same place as you, doesn't want to choose you fully or who isn't doing their work? You can't merge fully with a broken Twin who doesn't want to be met by you, plain and simple.

Even if you've met your Twin in this life, sometimes it doesn't work out. But that doesn't mean that you won't find love. The love that can unfold for you after will be even better than you can imagine and much more fulfilling than settling for someone who won't choose you fully. Everyone has their work to do and we all have choices. The Other has theirs as we have ours.

While there may never be the same type of bond as you have with your Twin, we can't settle if the Other isn't open. We would be in for a lifetime of hurt and waiting for someone who may not want to change. The Twin relationship is a channel that must be open from both parties in order for sacred union to occur.

This connection with your Twin will open you deeper to a better, more meaningful relationship because of the lessons you have learned and because you have opened deeper to your true self. This can help you know what you want, what you're looking for and what you won't settle for down the line.

But that isn't fair!

Yes, it can suck and it will be painful to go through as you heal. It may sound cliche, but the best thing to do is ground yourself deeper into yourself. Root yourself in what you love, in what brings you joy and in what heals your spirit. You may not be a vibrational match to your Twin right now, but that's ok. This may change down the line, it may not. Many Twin pairs have reported overcoming great separation and time apart before coming together once more in the same lifetime. Perhaps the time or conditions are not correct right now but they may evolve.

If there is no reconnection in this lifetime, by diving deeper into yourself and your truth, you are opening the doorway to invite an authentic partnership into your world; a deep love who will choose you fully and completely while you build a path forward.

Why does it matter so much that we connect with our truth when open to love?

We attract what we radiate. Like a beacon of light, we draw to us that which we are putting out there into the world.

Soul deep partnerships reflect to us areas where hold wounds such as aversion to vulnerability, abandonment, jealousy, intimacy or commitment issues. When we are able to become aware of these fears, we can heal them. When we heal these, we no longer attract those with the same wounds. It's not about becoming perfect, as there is no such thing as perfection, but healing what keeps us separated from opening to soul deep love and acceptance.

In all relationships, never settle for less than you deserve or put up with what isn't honoring your heart. We all have our own work to do, and even in the Twin bond, your job isn't to save anyone or convince them of your worthiness.

Twin Soul partnerships don't always mean instant happily ever after; they can be a lot of work. The Twin Soul journey is one of authentic truth, deep trust, allowing and expansion. Here in this place of spirit deep realization, we are able to recognize so many keys that can lead to the evolution of our heart and soul.

It isn't always the easiest path, but in the end it is worth it.
