We get so used to being misunderstood, hiding who we are can become like second nature to us.
Hiding the very fabric of our being for fear of rejection or ridicule. We shrink, holding ourselves in so none can see our truth and judge us. We try to take up less space, keep ourselves to one corner of the world and shut the door tight to keep our prying eyes.
The walls we build may keep us safe, but can create loneliness in this isolation. We can wonder if there is something wrong with us, with our truth. Time apart for reflection and introspection is valuable, but we start to doubt ourselves in seclusion.
Then a miracle occurs.
We are accepted for all that we are. Someone opens their arms, creating sacred space where we can just be. We breathe, sometimes for the first time ever, sometimes an exhale we have been holding our whole lives. We feel at home in our skin, embodying our truth like a precious silk adorning our bones.
It is sacred surrender as we give ourselves permission to revel in all the glory of who we authentically are.
A collective sigh ripples through the soul as lifetimes of weight is lifted. Sometimes this being is separate from us, sometimes we welcome own selves home. But a powerful transformation takes place, as we realize the beauty of our own magic.
Our path as humans is to honor the truth of who we are as we unravel our own deep mystery.
To embrace ourselves fully. To allow ourselves to move in the direction of our dreams and desires. To see ourselves as worth all that we wish for. To allow our feelings to be seen and heard.
Our road is one of eternal discovery and evolution. May yours be blessed.
