There is great power in the words that we speak. In how we define who we are, those that share our world with us and our paths in this life.
We can get caught up in the stories that we tell ourselves. Some of them have gone on too long and the well worn pages get harder and harder for us to turn as they crumble in our fingers.
We no longer resonate with them but don't take the time to question what passages we are repeating.
These stories become our beliefs, good or bad. A belief is just a thought that we keep thinking repeatedly.
We wear them like a shroud around our shoulders and they can become definitions and confining garments that bind us.
We can cling to them and we believe that they are us. But this isn't the case; you are deeper than the story you tell yourself.
Now is the time to look at the passages from the stories that we tell, our inner monologue, and ask yourself if this is something you truly believe?
Is this something you want to carry with you? Is this what you want to be part of your story from here on out? Or is it time to change your writing, your perceptions and the characters on those pages?
We have the power to change the Book of Our Lives and burn the pages that no longer reflect who we are and scatter them to the wind anytime we wish.
The time to acknowledge who you really are under it all and what you really want is here.
You are the author of your destiny and the pen you hold is that of your truth, and how you write it is how you will see it.
You have the power to write this book however you wish.
"Drench yourself in words unspoken Live your life with arms wide open Today is where your book begins The rest is still unwritten"
~ Natasha Bedingfield, "Unwritten"
