There is something that is intrinsically woven into my very being, a thread of longing as ancient as time itself; divine union.
The uniting of the Goddess Queen and her consort, The King Stag. The beloveds, the lady and lord, the sacred marriage.
Open. No barriers, no walls, no hesitations or limits.
Every facet peeled away leaving the core of two beings vulnerable and united, answering the call and rhythm of their souls.
There are those when speaking of either the divine feminine path or the masculine that look at me cross when I mention divine union or sacred sex, as if the feminine and the masculine should be separate and detached.
I can only speak to my own perspective as that is what I am here to experience. Like the energies that dwell within, the polarities of male and female that long for uniting and balance, so externally desire to be met equally, seen and received fully in transparent love.
Like incense once solid form and upon setting it aflame rises to the ether, so the body and spirit when ignited in the passionate flames of Sacred Union; the physical burnt away leaving only the essence of the divinity.
Beyond the realm of manicured ego when all falls away into the arms of eternity is a shedding of the skin that confine us, a merging into a flowing unity that embraces the divine.
Sacred union lives past the comfortable existence within the safety of the ego and into the purity of the space of vulnerability and surrender, which are nothing to fear. This is the wide open endless space of all possibility; a place of authentic truth, trust and allowing.
Such is the dance of the divine union to me.
Such is the sacred marriage.
