The path to living our truth isn't static.

It is constantly changing, pulling away the layers of what we were so we are able to dive deeper and see these new incarnations with new eyes. But first we need to take off the rose-colored glasses.

Sometimes when we are shown the reality of a situation or person, we choose to instead see things not as they are but as we wish them to be, rose-washed with positivity.

While there is nothing wrong with looking for the best in others and in situations, when we paint them with a different brush altogether that is contradicting their actions and words, we do ourselves a great disservice and set ourselves up for pain.

We are constantly being given signs and proof from the Universe that spells out the truth for us. We are shown actions, words and authenticity in every breath. More often than not we just don't want to see it.

Having a good attitude and looking on the bright side is one thing. But ignoring the truth is something else entirely.

The truth can suck sometimes, but it's better than believing in a lie.

You have to give yourself over completely to the realization that something isn't right or isn't working. You have to really strip it all off and embrace the bare bones of truth.

It's a fully embodied place of knowing. You feel it to the depths of your soul. You know it in your blood. Your inner guidance system is going off loudly and trying to get your attention.

This is why connection to our intuition and feelings is of paramount importance. If we are connected to our own deep well of truth, then we know a lot sooner when something feels amiss.

There comes a point where we need to surrender it all, the past stories of how it should look or what we thought it was going to be moving forward. We need to take the veils of illusion away completely so we are able to move forward authentically on our own path.

Not everything works out as we plan.

The biggest lessons in our lives are unscripted, unexpected and out of the blue.

They can split us wide open peeling away the old parts of ourselves as we emerge into the next incarnation of our truth. When we take off the glasses, when we set down the outdated beliefs and expectation, we are clearing a path for our own rebirth.

You can't get a conscious ending out of an unconscious situation. But you can consciously take off the rose-colored glasses and walk away for yourself.

You deserve the best out of this life and it is up to us what we will accept and allow.

Choose you. Choose what is in alignment with your highest truth.

It may not always be easy, but in the end it will always be worth it.
