"The truth will set you free but first it will piss you off "~ Gloria Steinem
That's the funny thing about truth.
It's not here to make you happy or to fit into your expectations; it's just here to be. Raw, gritty, spun from belly fire and flying in on gossamer wings, here comes truth.
It isn't here to fit your schedule, or worry about your plans. It doesn't mind that you have a to-do list a mile long. This dedicated messenger has a job to do and is here to deliver. It is here to set you free.
It doesn't seem like it.
Sometimes the reality hits you like a ton of bricks between your eyes and you stagger backwards.
But there is a comfort hidden deep inside though it is hard to spot at first. Like hot steamy soup on a cold Autumn day it seems into your being and fills up the cracks. A healing begins when truth sows it's seeds. A healing that only truth can bring.
It feels like Phoenix flames and Empires crumbling to the ground around you. This is where truth does it's best work, deep in the heart of transformation. This is where the magic happens.
These days we spend so much time staring truth in the eyes, both internally and externally, we're starting to become fifty different people by lunch time, reborn in every other breath.
It's partially the cosmos, the age we're living.
It's partially the desires that we've seeded that can no longer fit within the confines of the fake plastic packaging we made them wear for too long. It's partially we're tired of half-living half-assed lives.
It's many things. It's everything and nothing all at once, the describable and the microscopic.
That's the beauty of the truth, it doesn't have to fit into any rhyme or reason. It can be an insistent bully or it can be a patient ally. But it is an every-present invisible friend that we can't shake.
Here's to the truth. If it greets you like a lion, may you stand with it and roar.
"The thing about the truth is it feels good in your lips; the way you say it, the way it sounds, the way you feel at the core of your being when it all comes rushing out. You feel free. You can breathe. But you can't stop there. Once you start speaking your truth you can't stop; it demands to be screamed in every aspect of your life and will not remain hidden. Once you have been awakened you can never go back to sleep." ~ Ara
