Facing down the fear of exposure is often the point where we get rooted and stuck.
We say, no more I can’t keep going. If I keep going from here I will be bare. They will see me.
I will be naked and totally open.
Like children playing hide and seek we have been taught the last one hiding wins and this isn’t the case at all.
The last one hiding stays behind the mask.
Vulnerability is inevitable when truthfully opening the doors of the soul.
There is a raw truth to it that is undeniably overwhelming and powerful in its energy; the rush you get from not having to hold up the walls anymore illuminates every aspect of your world. It is a transformative freeing feeling.
Yes, it can be scary.
Yes, it means letting go of the barriers we are taught we must uphold. But in our choice of conscious opening we give way to a depth of being reached in a way that cannot be found if we remain closed.
We open ourselves to being seen and embraced fully for all that we truly are which is one of the greatest treasures on Earth.
Love and relationships requires truthful surrender; to yourself, your deepest feelings and emotions, the shadows that fall behind the love we have experienced in the past.
Love requires openness in baring things you may not even understand but are willing to give light to, for in love to do the opposite and silence them is like cutting out your own heart.
The exposure isn’t meant to tear one open for the sake of being painful, but just like the clouds move away from the sun bringing the nourishing light and life back to the Earth below, it feeds the soil of love once brought into the open.
There is no such thing as a perfect relationships, but shadows grow perfectly when ignored in the darkness.
I’m not saying one needs to let everyone that comes knocking at the door in; but letting ourselves in is paramount.
In the truthful expression of who we are, those that align with that energy will come into our world. The first step is coming into a place of acceptance of ourselves. When we stand in front of our own mirror and embrace all that we are, we come into a place of power.
The key to the door is in letting the veils fall from our own eyes and seeing our truth, seeing our fear of what is down there, and meeting with it when we are ready. If you keep going and dance with your shadows and your light, you will be bared to yourself; and then you truly win.
