Starting Over

Posted By on Mar 13, 2017

Starting over at any juncture of our lives can be a daunting prospect. As we look to a new path away from what was and we strike out on a new adventure, it can be hard at times to stay centered, upbeat and focused on the road ahead.

Change comes with its own emotional flavor which shifts from day-to-day depending on which way the wind blows. Some days you feel fine, strong and confident. The next you may feel shaken and uncertain. Decisions need to be made but in what direction do you go? It can be a roller coaster which can be draining.

The important thing to always remember is this is not the end. There are brighter days and clearer skies ahead.

Though things may be unclear right now and very confusing, one step at a time they will get better. No matter what manner of situation we are in, there are always ways to move forward. Women in front of you have walked the path of starting over since time began. We are Phoenixes. We will rise again from the ashes wiser, stronger and full of more holy fire than before to craft a new life far away from the rubble.

Releasing the old story

One of the most debilitating parts of moving forward is running the script from the old relationship in your head and thinking that is the way things will be in the future. As humans, we have the tendency to drag our emotional baggage with us as we move forward if we leave it unchecked.

Your past doesn’t have to be your future. Spend some time diving into the stories that keep running rampant in your head, the one’s that say you’ll never find authentic love, that no one will ever want to build a real life with you, that you’re just filler and not forever, or no one will love you for all the weirdness that you are.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

These are pieces of past hurt and unhealed wounds that get played on a constant loop internally and become something real that we believe. This can have a serious effect on our relationships moving forward, on our self-esteem and on our mental well-being. You can recognize these stories by the way they feel. They make you feel terrible right in the middle of your chest. They feel like poison because that’s what they are untrue and toxic.

Just as we sort our lives and the clutter as we move forward, so do we need to clear away the scripts in our head that no longer serve us.

There will be someone out there that wants to build a life with you one that you won’t have to beg or settle for. You are worthy of all the love that you desire. There will be someone who will love you and see you for all that you are.

But first and ever after, that needs to be you.

As women, we often put ourselves last, settle in far too many ways and accept far too little. As creatrixes, we take the scraps we are given and weave them into enough. We can make anything into something beautiful and that’s so often what we do even if the tatters barely cover our own needs.

As we move forward however we are gifted the opportunity of a fresh start to decide what we will accept into our world. And this includes what we are willing to accept and settle for.

See yourself as a divine altar and your home as your sacred temple space. Accept only what is worthy, authentic and in alignment with the world that you are creating into either. Accept only what feeds your soul and nourishes your heart. Accept only what sets your spirit, body and mind on fire. Accept only what is in alignment with your deepest desires.

I accept only true, authentic love into my heart and into my life
I am worthy of authentic, lasting, real love
I am a magnet for authentic, true love
There is someone out there that is perfect for me
I am open to love

Release the clutter

As we move forward, possibly to a different location, town or life altogether, we can be called to downsize or to examine the life that we have built around us. Some things we just don’t want to look at anymore, some things we can’t take with us and some things we just don’t plain want.

These huge life shifts give us the perfect opportunity to clear and release a lot of the stagnation and clutter that we accumulate as well as choose exactly what we want to be surrounded by as we move forward.

Take the time before you move to get rid of what you don’t need if you can afford the time. Don’t move anything with you that you don’t want. If there are some things you can’t stand to look at, get some help in dealing with them.

This is assuming you have the time and safety to sort and clear. If you are in an unsafe place, get out now and deal with everything else later. Your safety is of paramount concern.

I release all that no longer serves my highest good
I am open to the abundance of the Universe
As I clear away and make space, abundance flows to me

In the aftermath of a world blown apart, we need to take the time to heal. The timeline for healing varies for each person and how we heal is different. For some the healing is quick and the changes digested easily. For others it can take some time.

Take the time to acknowledge the changes that are moving through your life. Take the time to properly mourn and grieve. Honor the feelings that are rising for you as you flow through these changes. Anger, sadness and grief are all natural parts of the healing process.

Surround yourself with a support system. This can be anyone that you truth near you, someone you can speak to on the phone or even a counselor. You do not have to do all of this alone.

Join groups, clubs or classes that get you out so you can have fun. Commit to getting healthy and supporting nourishing your body. Take some time and travel a little if you are able. In the midst of all that is changing the important thing to remember is that life still goes on and there is still fun to be had.

I am whole
Well-being and peace flows to me
I am  supported
I am free

Though things can seem dark at times take heart. There are bright new beginnings that are coming to you. This is a time to build the world that you have always dreamed of. Never forget that you are the Phoenix and this is your tie to rise.

Blessings of abundance on your journey forward,
